The product offers a 16-bit module for monitoring the electrical current with I2C interface and is suitable for various digital bus voltages, including 1.8 V, 3.3 V and 5.0 V. It monitors the voltage using an external resistor and provides information about the current flow, the bus voltage and the power, whereby the values can be read out directly in amperes for current and watts for power. The device monitors the bus voltage applied to its IN- pin and is able to sound an alarm in the event of over- or under-current as well as over- or under-voltage conditions. This is visually signalled by a red LED. The product also detects current flows at common bus voltages, which can range from 0 V to 48 V, regardless of the
operating voltage.
