Explorer 500

The Explorer 500 expansion board is a multifunctional interface board for your Raspberry B+, 2B, 3B and it has following functions:

1. Pin-Header to put directly on the Raspberry B+, 2B or 3B
2. UART interface: you can easily connect UART modules like for example RS232, RS485, USB to UART (TTL-cable)
3. 8x I/O interface: you can easily connect with I/O controlled modules
4. SPI interface for SPI controlled modules
5. I²C interface for I²C controlled modules
6. LCD interface for HD44780 industrial standard LCD module
7. USB to UART, converter with CP2102 chipset (mini USB port)
8. Power LED
9. 4x programmable LED
10. 4x programmable buttons
11. Potentiometer: control of contrast for LCD displays (point 6)
12. RTC battery holder
13. 32.768K quartz: RTC quartz
14. CP2102: onboard USB to UART chip for debugging
15. CP2102: Jumper for: on / off
16. RTC: Jumper for: on / off
17. User LEDs Jumper for: on / off (point 9)
18. User keys Jumper for: on / off (point 10)

It can be directly plugged onto the Raspberry.
